5/19/26 Update:

From GCA Principal, Geraldine:
“By God's grace and provision, we resumed classes on May 4 for half-day operations. Currently, we remain without power, so we are using generators graciously given by Samaritan's Purse. We are moving forward with our promotion and graduation ceremonies next week to honor the hard work & perseverance of our students and their families.”

Volunteer Team

An amazing team of volunteers including alumni, school family, and community partners has come together to clean up the campus. Geraldine shared that they are “grateful for God's hand of provision!”

4/20/26 Update:

Grace Christian Academy, an accredited K-12 member school in Saipan, was recently hit by a powerful typhoon. Geraldine Rodgers, Principal at Grace Christian, has been in touch with ACSI leaders on the status of the staff’s welfare and the campus needs. The praise is that the community did not suffer fatalities from the typhoon.

The needs are that there has been much destruction on the campus including powerlines down, flooding in both of the campus buildings, and tin roofs ripped from the library. The school’s “Building A,” which is where elementary classes are held, is in inoperable condition.

Please pray for school leadership as they navigate the immediate needs in the coming days in order to restore the campus. Pray for discernment in how to communicate with the community, and for the entire school community as they heal and rebuild.

“We know God is mobilizing people to give and put their hands to the plough with work days planned for days to come,” Geraldine said.

We are praying for Grace Christian Academy and all those impacted by this typhoon. May the God of comfort be with all of our brothers and sisters in Saipan (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
